Haven Brady Jr. Signs Multi-Fight Deal with Matchroom

Unbeaten lightweight Haven Brady Jr. has put pen to paper on a multi-fight promotional agreement with Eddie Hearn and Matchroom, marking a fresh chapter for the 24-year-old as he pushes to climb the 135lb rankings.

Brady Jr., who carries a 17-0 record with 7 knockouts and trains under Bozy Ennis, is set to headline his first bout under the new deal on Friday, August 28, taking on Nicaragua's Bryan Jimenez (18-4, 10 KOs) in an eight-round lightweight contest.

First Project Series Card Lands in Orlando

The Brady Jr.-Jimenez fight forms part of the inaugural Matchroom and DAZN Project Series event at Caribe Royale in Orlando, staged in association with Boxlab Promotions. The new venture is designed to give emerging fighters a proper stage to showcase themselves against quality opposition.

Marksman, 25, won the WBA strap in March at Caribe Royale by defeating Jaycob Gomez and now defends it for the first time while also chasing the WBO Global title in what will be his second ten-round fight and tenth appearance at the venue. Barreto, known as El Capitán and backed by Miguel Cotto Promotions, is fighting for a title and going ten rounds for the first time in his career, in just his third contest on US soil.

The co-main event pits two unbeaten Florida-based fighters against each other at super-welterweight, as Alex Bray takes on Antraveous 'Yamz' Ingram over ten rounds. Bray, 20, went the distance in his first ten-round fight back in February at Caribe Royale, while the 27-year-old Ingram returns to the venue for the 11th consecutive time believing an upset over Bray can make waves in the 154lb division.
